Get the Most Out of Your Summit Experience
To get the most out of your experience at the Lean Healthcare Transformation Summit we suggest you bring a team. You can meet between sessions to have lunch, talk about what you’re learning, discuss what experiments you can try back home, and establish a camaraderie in a different way than in your traditional work setting.

If you are bringing a team, we can offer you the following benefits:
  • reserve a table for your team at breakfast or lunch so you can discuss your experiences and plans for the day
  •  if you prefer to reflect at the end of the day we can hold a meeting space for you.

Measuring Quality and Being Transparent About Results is an Important Part of Getting Better
Eric Dickson, MD, President and CEO of UMass Memorial Health Care, recently wrote a blog about hospital rating systems after the Medical Group was rated one of the "Top 100 Hospitals in America" and given a one-star rating months prior by the Centeres for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

His advice to the staff is "not to worry so much about the rating systems and focus on delivering the best care possible to our patients and everything else will take care of itself."

Dr. Dickson is a great lean leader who has traveled the path of adopting the principles of operational excellence, or lean.

Catalysis and UMass Memorial Health Care invite you to join us on an Executive Site Visit to see for yourself.
