FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CATALYSIS ANNOUNCES ALL NEW 2017 EXECUTIVE SITE VISIT DATES AND LOCATIONS Site Visits Enable Administrators to Discover Benefits of Lean Principles in Action APPLETON, WISC. – January 31, 2017 – Catalysis (formerly ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value), today announced the dates and locations for 2017 Executive Site Visits in North America. These site visits allow hospital CEOs, COOs and other senior level administrators to witness how lean principles impact healthcare delivery organizations in person. “Executive Site Visits expand our educational offerings, allowing leaders to ‘go and see’ what good looks like at hospitals that have successfully implemented lean principles,” said Kim Barnas, president of Catalysis. “On-site opportunities allow leaders to meet and hear from individuals who have implemented lean practices. In addition, they can see guiding principles in action, see how executive leadership plays a role in success and be exposed to the components of lean management practices that help change culture, enhance patient care and reduce costs.” In 2017, Executive Site Visits have been secured at four participating hospitals. Two hospital systems have agreed to host multiple visits. The dates and locations include:
  • April 6: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Mountain View, California
  • April 19, September 27: St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario
  • April 26, August 23, October 25: Salem Health, Salem, Oregon,
  • October 3: Lee Health, Ft. Myers, Florida
Executives who register for a one-day Executive Site Visit, will experience how senior leaders manage the priorities of the organization. Participants will also spend time learning how staff and physicians partner to deliver value to their patients. In addition, registered attendees will learn how to sustain improvement by going beyond the "tools" and aligning the organizations culture around guiding principles. “Site visits serve as a perfect entry point for leaders to learn the ins and outs of lean management principles and the tools that support them,” said Marta Karlov, education director at Catalysis. “This educational experience is the perfect way for healthcare executives who are just thinking about lean to learn how it might help their organizations, or for an experienced executive to get vital information to help move farther down the healthcare transformation path.” To register for a Catalysis Executive Site Visit, visit https://createvalue.org/executive-site-visits/ or contact a member of the Catalysis Education Team at events@createvalue.org   About Catalysis Catalysis inspires healthcare leaders and accelerates change.
