THEDACARE CENTER FOR HEALTHCARE VALUE CHANGES NAME TO CATALYSIS AS PART OF REBRANDING INITIATIVE

Catalysis Provides Healthcare Leaders with Proven Programs and Resources to Inspire and Accelerate Healthcare Value APPLETON, WISC. – November 15, 2016 – ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value, a creator of educational programs and resources for healthcare leaders, today announced its new name, Catalysis, as part of a major rebrand initiative. “Today marks an important change that underscores our commitment as a valued partner focused on healthcare system transformation,” said John Toussaint, MD., founder and CEO. “As Catalysis, we start our next chapter in developing innovative programs for healthcare leaders. It is our goal to inspire others to make dramatic shifts from the board room to day-to-day operations – shifts that ultimately improve healthcare delivery and outcomes. Accelerating this transformation is a cultural change that is sustainable and also leads to improved healthcare value.” First launched in 2008 and initially funded by ThedaCare, an Appleton, Wisc., based health system, the nonprofit organization has spent years creating experiential learning for healthcare leaders. The organization was the first to adapt and share lean methodologies along with other change management offerings to ultimately enhance healthcare value. “Catalysis really deepened our understanding of transformation and connected us with other organizations who share this journey,” said Kathryn Correia CEO at HealthEast, a Minnesota-based health system with four hospitals, 14 clinics and 7,500 employees. “With support from Catalysis we are better able to continue our focus on providing compassionate care as we learn to simultaneously decrease the burden and increase the benefit for our customers.” Catalysis provides in-person classroom-style courses, peer-to-peer networks, events, on-site visits, published materials, and other resources which help healthcare leaders create more efficient, care-driven healthcare systems. The organization has worked with more than 500 organizations and assisted 10,000 leaders in North America and Europe. “We have evolved into a self-funded organization providing an ever-expanding number of thought-leading programs, events and resources that help healthcare leaders transform their organizations,” said Helen Zak, chief development officer at Catalysis. “The new name, logo and message are exciting and supports our dedication as an effective collaborator that inspires leaders and accelerates healthcare value transformation.” Catalysis is headquartered in Appleton, Wisc. The organization currently employs a staff of 25. The organization’s website will continue to be hosted at www.createvalue.org   About Catalysis Catalysis inspires healthcare leaders and accelerates change.
