Healthcare Senior Executives, Physicians, Administrators and Change Agents Meet to Share Best Lean Practices APPLETON, WISC. – FEBRUARY 28, 2017 – Catalysis today announced details for the eighth annual Lean Healthcare Transformation Summit, June 7-8, 2017, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif. The event convenes more than 600 healthcare leaders who are creating sustainable organizational change using lean healthcare principles. The Summit, supported by the Lean Enterprise Institute and the Shingo Institute, shares the experiments and progress of pioneering healthcare leaders of the Catalysis Healthcare Value Network. Interactive education sessions provide insights into practical ways to improve quality, reduce cost and deliver better value to the patient. “The 2017 Lean Healthcare Transformation Summit offers valuable learning and networking opportunities for attendees,” said Rachel Regan, director of events at Catalysis. “This event enables healthcare leaders to share transformative thinking and best practices, which will help make significant healthcare system change.” Highlights at the 2017 Summit include: Keynote addresses - Kathy Krusie, senior vice president and president, North Region - Community Health Network; John Shook, chairman and CEO of the Lean Enterprise Institute; renowned trumpet player and educator Terell Stafford; and John Toussaint, MD and CEO of Catalysis. CEO Panel - Matthew May, author of Winning the Brain Game, In Pursuit of Elegance and The Elegant Solution, will share his work on innovation systems. Experiments Around the Network – members of the Catalysis Healthcare Value Network will address model cell experiments and comprehensive spread, finance experiments, information technology, business intelligence and analytics experiments. Learning sessions – attendees can attend sessions based on their lean journey experience level and role in their organizations. In addition to sessions for lean leaders and senior executives, this year’s Summit includes eight sessions on physician engagement.
