Daily Management System Assessment
How do you know whether leaders in your organization are practicing principle-based behaviors? Where is there evidence in your organization that associates are consistently contributing to creating a culture of problem solving? What is your confidence level in the ability of your current management system to deliver improved performance?
At Catalysis, we believe that a lean transformation starts with a deep understanding of the principles of organizational excellence. These principles guide behaviors practiced at all levels of the organization and inform organizational system design. A Lean Management System is foundational to building a culture of high-quality performance and continuous improvement.
The purpose of conducting an assessment based on the elements of a Daily Management System is to document the current condition and guide the development of specific goals and improvement plans for the management system of the organization. The process begins with a facilitated discussion, including a self-assessment of organizational performance by the leadership team. Following the completion of the self-assessment, members of the Catalysis team visit the organization to review the results and spend time observing management system-related activities. Our team then prepares their analysis based on the assessment tool and facilitates a discussion around the differences between the two sets of results.
At the end of this work session, the leadership team will obtain the following:
- A report outlining results of the self-assessment and Catalysis assessment
- Recommendations for next steps in the building of a sustainable management system for the organization
